Do you think audiobooks need background music?

Quote from TunePocket Support on May 2, 2024, 11:26 pmThere's been some discussions internally whether audiobooks really need music. We did a bit of a research looking at our support requests, as well as browsing related discussions on Reddit and Quora.
Here's what we found (it's a mixed bag, really):
- Some people prefer audiobooks with minimal background noise and prefer tp focus favoring just the narrator's voice.
- Some enjoy subtle background music, particularly at the beginning or end of chapters.
- Some appreciate sound effects or music that directly relates to the content of the book, enhancing the listening experience.
When authors want to get music for their audiobooks, their number 1 concern is copyright and licensing.
