what are YouTube channel keywords?

YouTube channel keywords are descriptive words or phrases that help define the content, audience, and niche of a YouTube channel.

These keywords are part of the channel’s metadata, which is used by YouTube’s search algorithm to understand the focus of the channel, so it can be discovered by the viewers with similar interests.

do i need to add keywords to my YouTube channel?

Absolutely! There are three good reasons why you need to add the most relevant keywords to your channel:

1. Keywords help YouTube understand what your channel is about, making it easier for users to find your channel in search results.

2. By using appropriate keywords, your channel is more likely to appear in front of viewers interested in your type of content.

3. A channel that is easier to find and reaches the right audience has a better chance of growing.

How to use this YouTube channel keywords copy tool?

Find a popular channel (or channels) in your niche (like cooking, vlogs, gaming, tech, and so on).

Copy selected channel’s handle (a part of channel’s URL that starts with ‘@’) and past it to the search box in the tool.

Click “FIND KEYWORDS”.

Review the results, remove non relevant keywords, copy and paste to your channel.

Iam having a cooking channel i have 20 k subscribe but no view’s only 40 – 50 view’s what to add in related searches

If you have 20K subs but only get 40–50 views, try updating your tags and related titles. Add clear, searchable keywords in your title and description (like “easy dinner,” “quick pasta,” “summer recipes”). Use TunePocket’s hashtag and keyword generators and look up tools to find what people are actually using in popular videos. Focus on trending or niche recipe ideas, and test YouTube Shorts to re-engage your audience. Hope this helps!

Most likely you’re not providing a valid channel handle. Not to worry! We’ve just upgraded this channel keywords extractor tool to make it more flexible, so now it accepts channel links, handles, and numeric IDs!

Where should I put these keywords? In my channel description? or every single video’s hastags? Where is the most efficient ususage for these tags?

    • Support on November 27, 2024

This tool retrieves the channel keywords (presumably from a popular channel) so it would make sense to use these keywords as your channel keywords. If your videos follow the same theme you might as well re-use the same keywords as your video tags. Hope this helps.
