New free tool: YouTube channel ID finder

Recently YouTube introduced handles, short user-friendly channel names that look like this: @tunepocket

While channel handles are indeed user-friendly and easy to remember, they can be changed by the channel owner.

The channel ID remains constant, making it a more reliable way to identify and interact with a specific YouTube channel, especially if you need to use any tools, like, for example, our YouTube money calculator.

Channel IDs are primarily used for behind-the-scenes operations on YouTube, such as API interactions, data retrieval, and content management. They are not typically displayed to the public and if you need it you may spend some time trying to find it.

So, here's a new tool that helps you convert any valid YouTube handle to the good old channel ID:

YouTube Channel ID Finder

Did we mention it's free? 🙂 Hope this helps!

Are youtube video ids and channel ids case-sensitive?

Yes, the channel IDs are case sensitive.

Handles are not.
